I believe the idea is excellent but would like to comment to make it more inclusive to all members of the community. Give students and alumni (independent of being recent graduates or not - and independent of age) access to manufacturing equipment and mentors to enable iteration and commercialization of any type of product. I believe that we are all part of a community and independent of age, or any other category, we all have dreams and we all have strengths and skills and we are all capable of making things. I am in the opinion that there should be no defacto barrier for anybody belonging to the community if a resource is provided to the community.
