An outreach to the public, rerun of idea IEEE ignored

There is significant research that says group input on a problem is better than the solution by a specialized PhD. Organize town halls to explain current cutting edge problems to the public and see what solutions they suggest. Along the way, bring directly to the public knowledge of the breadth of science and technology, without passing via the ignorant press who only seem to want to write about FB or apps or video games or VR or obesity and vaccines with a dash of space and AI. There is so much more awareness of which most people live and die without.
