As an SDM student we are taught to look at a system/product/solution in a holistic manner giving due consideration to the business and technology aspects of the system. We regularly analyze the work being done in MIT labs in our technology study. It would be of great value for both MIT engineering and SDM/Sloan to take this analysis forward and team up with innovators to take the product to market. Engine could help drive this actively by creating opportunities for engagement between technologists and business students either in the form of Mixers, or structured internships beyond the scope of the new ventures styled courses.
