I believe the management and board of The Engine could use more people with biomedical expertise. There seems to be two people with industrial experience in biomedical with biology backgrounds, it seems like a couple more would be beneficial. There are so many biological advances arising from MIT and the greater Boston area, including advances in genomics, diagnostics, medical imaging, implantable medical devices, tissue engineering/stem cells, small molecule drugs and biologics, research reagents and medical equipment that would benefit from having more biomedical scientists involved in decision making. CRISPR, for example, is one of the most impactful advances to come from MIT in recent years.
